Ayala Land Premier: Sustainability first

Sustainable building, a practice once deemed as unprofitable and utopian, is now emerging as a powerful force. Rising energy costs and increased awareness about global warming helped catapult green building into the consciousness of the public. And Ayala Land Premier has committed to a vigorous and progressive sustainability program exemplified in their first seaside residential leisure community, Anvaya Cove.
“From its inception, respect for the environment has been ingrained into the vision for Anvaya Cove,” said Melissa Gil, head of Residential Buildings and Leisure. “With the help of our partners and collaborators, this vision has now come to fruition. With a masterplan that followed the lay of the land, roads rise and fall follow the natural contour of the site. An allocation of 30 percent green buffers within the entire development and 30 percent open space within the neighborhoods has been allocated so that we are able to preserve natural habitats and ecosystems. As a result, members of the Beach and Nature Club are able to learn about endemic flora and fauna.”
In Anvaya Cove’s Beach and Nature Club, structures utilize locally-available materials and passive solar energy features. Attention to detail was paramount as is demonstrated by the lighting design that prevented Olive Ridley turtles from becoming disoriented as they come home to the cove to nest.
Other sustainable design features include generous setbacks and open spaces between homes within a neighborhood. Building footprints for houses within a neighborhood have also been limited to only 35 percent of the total lot area. This not only ensures that the environmental and aesthetic benefits of natural greens are preserved, but also reduces the impact of the development.
The recent launch of Anvaya Cove‘s Seascape Ridge underscores this by dedicating more than 85 percent of the area to open space, ensuring a sprawling, airy and tropical ambiance and a low-impact development.
Another recent addition to the community is The Vistas at Mango Grove, which lends a sense of privacy away from the hustle and bustle of everyday living.

Houses For Sale in the Philippines was built to feature houses in the Philippines worthy of selling to those who work hard for the money they have. It also stemmed from the unfortunate incident we had with buying a property that up to this day, was not turned over to us.
